In our mission to help other businesses become more sustainable, we’re doing the same. Our goal is to touch every business in the UK with our knowledge about sustainable technology.
The global e-waste problem
Every year, 48 million tons of e-waste ends up in landfills. To put that into perspective for us in the UK, that’s about 3 million double decker busses. And that’s every year. To top that off, the UK is the second biggest contributor to that amount.
The numbers can’t be ignored and neither should this problem. Luckily, we’ve found a way to lessen our impact on e-waste and are on a mission to encourage others to do the same.
The value in a circular economy
The circular economy is all about reducing waste and reusing resources. Its benefits are numerous, so we’ve structured our business in a way that accelerates this.
We take in tech through our recycling program, refurbish it and then find it a new home. For our customers, this moves them towards more sustainability in their tech. For our planet, this lessens the damaging impact of e-waste.
The importance of business ethics
It’s a corporate social responsibility to practise business ethically. When we first started Klyk, we were in consensus that we wanted to be proud of what we’re doing and the way in which we do it. We don’t skip corners. We do things the right way, to do right by our customers, our community and our world.
